*laughs* Okay. Well. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. And Chanticleer is based in San Francisco. So, every year, they invite local choirs to come work with them, and my choir was invited this year. We sang two group songs–all six choirs plus Chanticleer which, I can tell you, was amazing–and each choir also performed songs of their own. As you've seen, we sang Elijah Rock; we also sang a Back Alleluja, and a U2 song: ever heard of MLK?
Anyways. So...two guys from Chanticleer worked with each choir individually, and oh, my, Gods. It was frigging amazing. I loved it so so so so so much...
And then there was a concert at night, where parents and other people came, and Chanticleer sang, and the choirs sang, and Chanticleer and the choirs sang, and just EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
(If there's a recording that we can get, I'll try to get it and send it to you.)
*waits for Runi to go to school, etc., come back and give Archee recording*
(*is tres excited, cannot wait*)
*grin*
(Oh, I see. How do you do it? Well, since our's is an All Girl choir (apart from like, one year 7er) -- all the guys are in the Senior Choir -- I'm in the alto part. *likes alto* I'm going through a phase where High parts are hard to sing for me..)
*an Eisteddfod.
It's a competition. Generally speaking, of course. We were in the Junior Secondary Choir section -- I think -- and we cleansweeped everything. *grin*
